Rose is a Song writer and Recording artist I've had the privilege of photographing her EP Album Photography in Central Park four times this year! She came to me needing photos that represent her original songs and the four different seasons she planned to release them in. We started with winter (and just happened to take photos on the one day it snowed in NYC this year), photographed her with spring cherry blossoms, sweated through her summer session, and just finished her autumn photo session with some of the best weather ever.
Just to give you an idea of what it was like to work together, this was her inspiration for the summer song photos: Central Park photo session with fruit (taking these photos during peak fruit season delighted me to no end), taking one step in front of the other (which is why we included some rock climbing photos, especially because Rose is so outdoorsy). And lastly, to feel like a well-watered garden (perfect for summertime greenery and florals). I love how you can really see all of that come together in these photos.
As an artist, I love getting to work with other creatives like Rose. People who can create a vision for their photos, but then trust me with the creative process. They can collaborate with the creative process in as big or as little of ways as they want. That's when photos like these get made. What season of these photos is your favorite?
If you've been around my website and instagram this year, you'll know I’m moving more toward branding myself as an “Artistic Photographer” and I don't think that means I'm working with just creative artists. I've worked with several individuals to create artistic photos whether that be dating profile photos that stand out, branding for small businesses, or album covers! But what it does mean is that I want to go beyond the cookie cutter photos your friends are taking. I want to get creative and artistic with angles and really take the time to play around.
Here’s to creating and what happens when we create together. If you're thinking-- ohh, I like the idea of hiring an artistic photographer for your photos-- let's discuss what you need! You can reach out here.
