Five NYC Bachelorette Weekend Ideas for Broadway Lovers

If you've followed me for awhile, you know I'm not a traditionalist when it comes to weddings and I'm a BIG BAD BROADWAY LOVER. So if I was planning a Bachelorette Party (or really, a Bachelor Party doing all of these exact same things would be so so fun) for a Broadway enthusiast, here are my Top Five NYC Bachelorette Weekend Ideas for Broadway Lovers:

  1. Cosplaying for Bachelorette weekends isn't anything new. Groups have been dressing up as Grandpas, Movie Characters, and Television Characters for years. It's a whole thing on TikTok and we're here for it. So go ahead and have everybody pick their favorite Broadway cosplay and commit to the bit. Then you're all gonna go carb load on a pizza tour or Underground Doughnut tour because NYC does those two things really well and you gotta rock these cosplays somewhere don't ya? You'll look ridiculous eating doughnuts dressed up as Elphaba or Marty McFly, but you'll make the best memories.

  2. I'm a sucker for a Broadway show, so in honor of your bestie's marriage, love, and probable roots in pop music, I'd take her to go see &Juliet. Even if you have "Broadway haters" in your party, this musical is hilarious and will almost assuredly capture everyone's hearts. The people who wrote Schitt's Creek wrote this and you know that's a recipe for laughter.

  3. This is your Bachelorette's last time to just be "her" before she becomes an "us". Book her a Bachelorette photoshoot in and around Time Square so she can have some final photos of just her looking amazing in the Big Apple. And if you want, make it a group thing! Get everybody dressed up real cute and take Editorial-inspired photos in crosswalks or with iconic buildings and bridges in the background. I know a photographer who's pretty great, you can contact her here. Her romantic and warm Bachelorette photos pack a punch. Plus, she'll make your photos look like you belong on the cover of Playbill.

  4. Karaoke is a must and this place has Broadway options and is really fun.

  5. Hit up the Museum of Broadway and learn a bit more about the great Broad Way. You'll probably laugh, cry, and have your jaw drop a few times. Make sure you make a reservation for the day and time when you start planning your trip!
