It’s how the TikTokers are saying something or someone is like a main character in a movie.
And you know what? When you decide to elope in NYC— NYC is giving main character energy. I think that's why it makes a great wedding venue.
I’m a big cinema girl (which is why my photography approach to wedding photos is about 50% posed and 50% cinematic/candid), and some of my favorite ways people have described movies set in New York City is that New York City itself is a character in those movies. And it’s so so true. New York City is its own character.
You are forced to interact with her. When it’s cloudy and rainy, she’s in a mood. When it’s sunny and hot, she’s full of passion. You can’t escape the people she brings to you. And you can’t keep your eyes off her. She’s constantly mesmerizing, terrifying, beautiful, and powerful.
If that’s not main character energy, I don’t know what is.
An elopement in this city is like having the entire city be your venue. A venue you get to adventure through and celebrate your love in. Cafes, restaurants, coffee shops, cocktail bars, city streets, piers, bridges, and skyscrapers all interacting with you and surrounding you.
